Dragon-Testing is a high-tech enterprise focusing on software testing AI-TestOps, and a one-stop software automation testing tool provider. tens of millions of RMB in Pre-A round of commercial venture capital investment was completed in 2020; tens of millions of Series A venture capital investment led by the fund of Zhejiang University was completed in 2021.
Since its establishment, Dragon-Testing has been deeply engaged in the field of software automation testing, with the mission of completely changing the labor-intensive testing industry and making testing more and more intelligent, and successfully building a one-stop universal software automation testing platform - Dragon Testing AI-TestOps Cloud Platform.
The core concept of Dragon-Testing AI-TestOps cloud platform products is to use modern AI technology and advanced testing algorithms to completely change the current manual and automated software testing form. For UI-driven functional testing, we creatively propose AI+Robot+Model (ARM) technology to build a stable and fast testing tool. That is, AI learns to generate business flowcharts, test users form block diagrams by combining flowcharts, and then robots execute them stably through visual and mechanized ways.
With the support of ARM technology, Dragon-Testing has a UI-driven functional testing system that can cover most of the hardware and software systems in the market, coupled with the world's leading test code generator technology and the ability to automatically generate test code with one click, providing industry customers with efficient, maintainable and low-cost automated testing tools to escort product quality.
DRAGON-TESTING REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS
Dragon-Testing is pleased to invite university faculty and researcher of the institute to respond to a call for research proposals on AI-Robot-Model Testing Framework(ARM-TF). The Dragon-Testing ARM-TF research grant program offers a total of $20,000 in sponsorship. There are two programs, one for $10,000.
Furthermore, projects that perform well will have the opportunity to receive subsequent high-value sponsorship support. Last year we have successfully engaged with some talented young professors, and a much larger grant has given already for a continuous and successful research cooperation.
AREAS OF INTEREST
During this proposal cycle, we are interested in soliciting proposals for research that will lead to direct impact on the real world UI-based Software in the technology sector.
Specifically, this proposal is related to end-to-end functional testing over UI subjects like Web/iOS/Android/Windows applications. This call is intended to support further development of Dragon-Testing research. Topics of interest of phase one include:

Semantic Understanding Of UI Screens
For example, when we open Expedia.com (shown above), how to know the area is used to book a hotel. The goal is to find a general method like AI to identify different parts of a screen.
Robot-driven Testing Technologies
More specifically, how to design an algorithm to manipulate a robot or mechanic arms more efficiently, or how to find a way to manipulate a screen directly with some APIs, or how to play with UI screens in a OS level which leads to much faster interaction speed.
Automatic Test Data Generation
For example, for the same Expedia example shown above, the “Going to” input box can be associated with city names like Seattle, New York etc., and “Check-in” and “Check-out” are Date type with specific date. Furthermore, if we can apply correct constraints which is a plus. For example, one constraint may be that Check-in date is smaller than Check-out date.
How To Exploit Thousands Of Test Cases To Test A New Function
Many companies have a group of manual test engineers. They manually test a web/mobile application in many ways with thousands of test cases. When the web/mobile application adds a new function, is it possibe to use existing test knowledege to develop a set of new test cases for such new function?
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
We aim to make the process light touch to reduce the burden of preparing an application. 
  • Applicants should submit a maximum 2-page proposal;
  • Proposals should focus on the two primary aspects of concern for this call:  the scientific contribution and routes to eventual deployment, together with a budget overview, outlining how the proposed funding will be used;
  • Summary of the project. Provide a maximum 2-page, clear and concise statement of the scientific contribution and routes to eventual deployment;
  • Curriculum Vitae for all project participants. In addition to CVs, please include links to DBLP andor Google Scholar pages for the  proposers involved  in  the proposed work;
  • A proposed budget description (1 page)。
